Who is responsible
My Village Farm Private Limited, an Indian private limited company, operates My Village Farm. This notice covers our website, customer app and the personal information used to fulfil orders. Staff, delivery partners and vendors may also receive role-specific notices.
For a privacy request, call +91 6300950960. You can also email nithin@myvillagefarm.in for privacy requests or contact@myvillagefarm.in for support. Our registered office and designated grievance officer are listed on the company and contact page.
What information is used
- Your account: mobile number, OTP authentication records, name and optional profile information such as email and community.
- Your orders: delivery addresses and coordinates, items, subscriptions, delivery instructions, payment references, wallet transactions, refunds and support correspondence.
- App operation: notification tokens, permissions and technical or security records needed to operate the service.
- Delivery and preparation: delivery status, delivery proof where collected, and preparation-stream information. Delivery partners’ location is used for dispatch and live order tracking; customer location permission helps select an address.
- Partner operations: vendors and staff may provide business, verification and delivery-incident information relevant to their role.
Razorpay handles payment checkout. MVF receives payment references and status; our backend is not designed to store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Never share an OTP or payment PIN with support.
Why we use it
We use information to authenticate accounts, accept and fulfil purchases, calculate subscription bills and credits, process payments and refunds, arrange delivery, answer requests and protect the service from misuse. Required account and address information is needed to provide the corresponding service.
Where GDPR applies, processing necessary for your order relies on performance of a contract; legally required records rely on legal obligations. Proportionate service-security processing may rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Optional permissions and any consent-based communications can be withdrawn. A device permission alone is not blanket consent to unrelated uses.
Who receives information
Information relevant to an order is available to authorised MVF personnel, fulfilment partners and the assigned delivery partner. Service integrations include Razorpay for payments, Fast2SMS for OTPs, Expo and platform push services for notifications, Google Maps for routing, Azure storage when configured and Mux for preparation streams when enabled. These providers receive the information needed for their function and may also process technical connection data.
Preparation streams may be recorded when the streaming service is enabled. People appearing in a stream need an appropriate notice; customers should avoid recording or sharing other people’s personal information. We may disclose relevant records where required by law or to address fraud and legal claims.
India storage and international processing
Our stated hosting policy is to store MVF-managed customer records in India. That policy must cover the production database, media, backups and logs.
Third-party services have their own infrastructure and processing locations. India-based primary storage does not establish that every notification, map request, payment or stream is processed only in India. Provider locations, contracts and any necessary international-transfer safeguards must be verified before public launch. This draft does not claim that all third-party processing is restricted to India.
Retention and security
Account information is needed while an account is active; purchase and payment records may need to remain for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and legal claims. Delivery-location history, OTP records, media and support records should be retained only for their operational purpose and applicable legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised.
The category-specific retention periods and backup-deletion schedule are being finalised before launch. We do not promise immediate erasure of records that must legally be retained. Security controls, access restrictions and incident-response procedures also require operational verification; no service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can update available profile details in the app and control location and notification permissions in device settings. You may request access, correction, account closure or deletion through our contact number. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity; do not send passwords, OTPs or payment credentials.
Where GDPR applies, you may also request portability or restriction, object to qualifying processing, withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use, and complain to your competent supervisory authority. Requests are generally due a response within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. Indian privacy rights apply as the relevant legal provisions take effect.
Account deletion is self-service in the customer app, as described in deleting your account. Data export is not yet self-service and is handled as a request. The app automates operational functions such as billing and dispatch; this notice does not authorise unrelated profiling.
Children, website storage and updates
Ordering accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over. If a child’s personal information has been submitted, contact us for review. Food bought for a household does not require a child to create an account.
This marketing website currently uses locally hosted assets and no advertising or analytics cookies in its own code. Hosting access logs and external sites opened through links have separate data implications. Optional tracking would require an updated notice and any consent required by law before activation.
Material changes to data use will be reflected in an updated notice and communicated where required. This notice will be updated as processing arrangements and operational procedures are finalised.
Deleting your account
You can delete your My Village Farm account yourself, at any time, from inside the customer app: Profile → Delete my account. The app asks you to confirm, then closes the account immediately.
What is deleted: your profile (name, email, community), saved addresses, cart, support chat, reviews you posted, notification history and waitlist entries. Active subscriptions are cancelled so nothing is billed or delivered afterwards, and your mobile number is released, so signing up again starts a completely new account.
What is kept, and why: completed orders, invoices and payment records remain in our accounting for the period Indian tax law requires. Your name, phone number and street address are removed from those records; only the city, pincode and the amounts stay. Any remaining wallet or promo balance is closed with the account and cannot be restored, so spend it before you delete.
A delivery already on its way must arrive first, since the delivery partner is holding your order. If you cannot use the app, ask us to delete the account by calling +91 6300950960 or emailing contact@myvillagefarm.in from your registered details.
